Combine it with:

Control during various squat exercises

  • The movement path is engineered to feel completely natural, allowing you to achieve a deep squat position and deliver maximum training stimulus.
  • This machine provides the ideal synergy: the dynamic feeling of free barbell squats paired with the inherent safety of a machine.
  • Guided movement and the long, high-density foam back pad guarantee both safety and rock-solid stability.
  • The 2-stage start-stop lock featuring an emergency stop makes this machine suitable for athletes of virtually any size. You can easily activate the mechanism using the foot pedal lever.
  • Four additional weight pins ensure your training plates are always organized and within reach.
  • The large anti-slip checker plate foot platform allows for multiple foot positions, enabling you to target different muscle groups and apply varied training stimuli.
  • Variable grip positions contribute to a stable posture during various exercises and simplify getting in and out of the unit.
  • The V-Squat machine dimensions: 175 cm wide, 204 cm long, and 168 cm high (including weight holders).
  • The robust steel frame construction weighs 195 kg and handles a massive maximum loading capacity of 450 kg.

Target key muscles

  • V-squats are a high-intensity, closed kinetic chain exercise performed to build incredible leg strength.
  • This compound movement targets multiple muscles simultaneously: the quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, adductors, and calf muscles.
  • Depending on your execution, V-squats can be more knee-dominant (when your back faces the machine) or hip-dominant (when you face the machine), thereby emphasizing different muscle groups.
  • The quadriceps form the front of the thigh and are heavily involved in knee extension during the squat.
  • The hamstrings are on the back of the thigh, assisting with knee flexion and hip extension.
  • The gluteal muscles are responsible for hip extension and are intensely stressed during deeper squats.
  • Our V-Squat machine is perfect for athletes involved in functional training or powerlifting who want to dramatically improve their leg strength, stability, balance, and intramuscular coordination.

Exercise option 1: V-squats with your back to the machine

  • This variation is knee-dominant and places greater stress on the quadriceps.
  • Stand on the foot platform and position yourself beneath the shoulder pad.
  • Slightly extend your body to lift the weighted lever arm upward; the emergency catch will automatically tilt backward.
  • The machine is now unlocked, and you are ready to begin the movement.
  • Your feet should be positioned slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, with toes pointed outward (10-15°) to form a “V.”
  • Drive your heels firmly into the footplate, slowly bending your knees and hips as you lower your glutes toward the floor.
  • Ensure your knees do not track past your toes.
  • Engage your core, lift your chest, keep your lumbar spine against the pad, and push your hips backward as if you were sitting in a chair.
  • Stop lowering when your hips and knees are approximately level, or when you reach the maximum comfortable hip flexion.
  • At the bottom of the movement, concentrate on contracting the glutes and inner thighs, consciously driving through your heels to return to the start position by extending your knees and hips.

Exercise option 2: V-squats facing the machine

  • This is a hip-dominant variation, activating the glutes and hamstrings more intensely.
  • The emphasis on the posterior chain increases significantly the higher you place your heels on the footplate and the more you lean forward into the machine.
  • The movement sequence remains fundamentally the same as described above.

Exercise option 3: Triple Extension Squats

  • Use the same stance as for V-squats facing the machine.
  • However, at the top of the movement, when the body is fully straightened and the knee and hip are maximally extended, you also extend the ankle joint (calf raise).
  • This exercise is unmatched for building explosive power for sports like handball, basketball, volleyball, and all jumping and sprinting disciplines.
