Keltan EPDM rubber for outstanding surface properties
- TÜV-tested REACH certified
- Low odor
- High break resistance with 4.4 MPa
- Resistant to drops from sharp-edged or thin weight plates
- Drop tests conducted with 90 kg bumper plates from a height of 50 cm
- High material density of 232 kg/m³
- Heavyweight - no need for fixation
- Suitable for underfloor heating
- UV-resistant
- Temperatures between 22°C and 85°C do not cause deformation of the structure
Two protective layers for maximum protection
- Layer 1: Fine granulate with 0.8 mm grain size: Slip-resistant, non-crumbling, does not absorb water or sweat droplets
- Layer 2: Coarse granulate with 3 mm grain size: Soft and shock-absorbing, soundproofing, high elasticity
- The lower layer is particularly pure and free of dyes and does not leave marks on parquet, tiles, or laminate
- These mats can also be used on underfloor heating systems without any problems
Challenging home gyms and fitness rooms
- Designed for fitness facilities focusing on moderate weight training and bodyweight exercises (small gyms, hotels, schools, personal trainers, and rehabilitation centers)
- Outdoor training facilities
- Sizes 50 x 50 cm or 100 x 100 cm
- 100 x 100 cm results in minimal joint formation and is ideal for large rooms, while the 50 cm edge length version is easier to adapt to the layout of a small room
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO CUTTING OUR FLOOR PROTECTION MATS
- Safety First: Wear suitable work gloves to avoid cuts.
- Choose the right tool: a sharp carpet or utility knife and a guide rail.
- The surface should be flat and even. Additionally, use cardboard or similar to protect the floor.
- Measure precisely and mark the area to be cut with chalk or lightly score it with the knife.
- Place the guide rail and cut through the mat firmly and without lifting the knife. The cut should be done in one motion with even pressure. Repeat this process until the mat is completely cut through. Spread the mat apart slightly during cutting to reduce friction. Moisten the knife slightly with soapy water if needed to improve sliding, but be aware that this increases the risk of slipping.
- Any gaps between the mats can be sealed with black tape to prevent dust and dirt from entering.
- Hand saws are not recommended as they rarely produce a clean cut. Particularly thick mats, such as our UltraProtect mats, can be cut with a circular saw using a coarse wood blade. During cutting, ensure that the already separated parts are spread apart to counteract the high friction coefficient of rubber.
