Keltan EPDM rubber for outstanding surface properties

  • TÜV Test REACH certified
  • Low odor
  • High breaking strength of 4.4 MPa
  • Resistant to drops from sharp-edged or thin weight plates
  • Drop tests carried out with 90 kg bumper plates at a height of 50 cm
  • High material density with 232 kg/m3
  • High weight - therefore no fixing necessary
  • Suitable for underfloor heating
  • UV-resistant
  • Temperatures between 22°C and 85°C do not cause any deformation of the structure

Two protective layers for maximum protection

  • Layer 1: Fine granulate with 0.8 mm grain size: Slip resistance, non-crumbly, does not absorb water or sweat drops
  • Layer 2: Coarse granulate with 3 mm grain size: Soft and shock-absorbing, sound-insulating, high elasticity
  • The bottom layer is particularly pure and free of dyes and leaves no marks on parquet, tiles or laminate
  • These mats can also be used on underfloor heating without any problems

Sophisticated home gyms and fitness rooms

  • Designed for fitness facilities focusing on moderate weight training and bodyweight exercises (small gyms, hotels, schools, personal trainers and rehabilitation facilities)
  • Outdoor training facilities
  • Dimensions 50 x 50 or 100 x 100 cm
  • 100 x 100 cm result in minimal joints and are therefore ideal for large rooms, while the variant with 50 cm edge length can be more easily adapted to the floor plan of a small room

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR CUTTING OUR FLOOR PROTECTION MATS

  1. Safety First: Wear suitable work gloves to avoid cuts.
  2. Choosing the right tool: a sharp carpet or utility knife and a guide rail.
  3. The surface should be flat and level. You should also use cardboard boxes to protect the floor.
  4. Measure precisely and mark the area to be cut with chalk or scratch it lightly with a knife.
  5. Place the guide rail and pull the knife through the mat firmly and without putting it down. The cut should be made in one movement and the pressure applied should be even. Repeat this process until the mat is completely cut through. When cutting, spread the mat apart bit by bit to reduce friction. If necessary, moisten the knife a little with soapy water to enable it to glide better. However, note that this also increases the risk of slipping.
  6. Any gaps between the mats can simply be covered with black tape to prevent dust and dirt from getting in.
  7. Hand saws are not recommended, as it is difficult to achieve a clean cut edge. Particularly thick mats such as our UltraProtect mats can be cut to size using a circular saw with a coarse saw blade for wood. When cutting, you should just make sure that the already cut pieces are spread apart in order to neutralize the high friction coefficient of rubber.
