Product Features
Hot-Dip Galvanized for the Best Protection Against the Elements
- 2 crossbars, 42 cm long, made from hot-dip galvanized steel to fit our R8 Outdoor Series.
- The 42 cm crossbar plus the 7.5 cm width of the upright gives you a total depth of around 50 cm on our R8 Outdoor racks.
- Use them, for example, on a 6-post power rack to connect the rear uprights to the main rack.
- Hot-dip galvanizing protects our outdoor equipment from corrosion inside and out.
The steel is dipped in a bath of molten zinc, creating a corrosion-resistant, multi-layer coating of zinc-iron alloy and zinc metal. - This triggers a metallurgical reaction between the iron in the steel and the molten zinc.
- The dip forms a layer that is more resistant to rust and weather, not just on the outside of the metal but on the inside too.
