Step-by-step instructions for cutting and laying the floor protection mats:

1. Safety first: Wear suitable work gloves to avoid cuts.
2. Choose the right tool: a sharp carpet or utility knife and a straight edge.
3. The surface should be flat and level. You should also use cardboard, for example, to protect the floor.
4. Measure precisely and mark the area to be cut with chalk or lightly score it with the knife.
5. Place the straight edge and pull the knife forcefully through the mat without lifting it. The cut should be made in one motion with even pressure. Repeat this process until the mat is completely cut through. As you cut, gradually spread the mat apart to reduce friction. If needed, moisten the blade slightly with soapy water for smoother gliding. Keep in mind, however, that this also increases the risk of slipping.
6. Any gaps between the mats can simply be covered with black tape to prevent dust and dirt from getting in.
