Step-by-step instructions for cutting and laying the floor protection mats:

1. Safety First: Put on suitable work gloves to avoid cuts.
2. Choosing the right tool: a sharp carpet or utility knife and a guide rail.
3. The surface should be flat and level. Additionally, you should use e.g. cardboard boxes to protect the floor.
4. Measure precisely and mark the area to be cut with chalk or lightly score it with the knife.
5. Place the guide rail and pull the knife firmly through the mat without lifting it. The cut should be made in one motion and the pressure applied evenly. This process is repeated until the mat is completely severed. Spread the mat apart bit by bit while cutting to reduce friction. If necessary, moisten the knife a little with soapy water to allow better gliding. Note, however, that the risk of slipping also increases as a result.
6. Any gaps between the mats can simply be covered with black tape to prevent the intrusion of dust and dirt.
