10) Use of social media: videos

Use of YouTube videos

This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider “Youtube”, which belongs to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

The extended data protection mode is used here, which, according to the provider, only starts saving user information when the video(s) is played. If the playback of embedded YouTube videos is started, the provider "Youtube" uses cookies to collect information about user behavior. According to information from "Youtube", these are used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive behavior. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account when you click on a video. If you do not want to be assigned to your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of Google's legitimate interests in displaying personalized advertising, market research and/or designing its website to meet needs. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, and you must contact YouTube to exercise this right. When using YouTube, personal data may be transferred to Google LLC servers in the USA.
Regardless of whether the embedded videos are played, a connection to the Google network is established each time this website is accessed, which may trigger further data processing operations without our influence.

In the event that personal data is transferred to Google LLC, based in the USA, Google LLC has certified itself for the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU. A current certificate can be viewed here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/list

11) Online Marketing

11.1 Facebook Pixel for creating custom audiences with advanced data matching
Our online offering uses the so-called “Facebook Pixel” of the social network Facebook in extended data matching mode, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Quare, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”).
Based on their express consent, when a user clicks on an ad displayed on Facebook and placed by us, an addition is added to the URL of our linked page by Facebook Pixel. This URL parameter is then written into the user's browser via a cookie after forwarding, which our linked page itself sets. In addition, this cookie records specific customer data such as the email address that we collect on our website linked to the Facebook ad during processes such as purchases, account registrations or registrations (extended data comparison). The cookie is then read by Facebook Pixel and enables the data, including the specific customer data, to be forwarded to Facebook.
With the help of the Facebook pixel with extended data matching, Facebook is able to precisely determine the visitors to our online offering as a target group for the display of advertisements (so-called "Facebook ads"). Accordingly, we use the Facebook pixel with extended data matching to only display the Facebook ads placed by us to those Facebook users who have also shown an interest in our online offering or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Facebook (so-called "custom audiences"). With the help of the Facebook pixel with extended data matching, we also want to ensure that our Facebook ads correspond to the potential interests of users and do not appear annoying. In this way, we can further evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes by tracking whether users were redirected to our website after clicking on a Facebook advertisement (so-called "conversion"). Compared to the standard Facebook Pixel, the enhanced matching feature helps us better measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns by capturing more attributed conversions.

All transmitted data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data usage policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). The data can enable Facebook and its partners to place advertisements on and outside of Facebook.
These processing operations are carried out exclusively with the granting of express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

Consent to the use of the Facebook pixel may only be given by users who are older than 13 years. If you are younger, we ask you to ask your legal guardian for permission.

The information generated by Facebook is usually transferred to a Facebook server and stored there; this may also involve transmission to the servers of Facebook Inc. in the USA. Facebook Inc., based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating Facebook pixel tracking. To do so, you can set an opt-out cookie by clicking on the link below, which deactivates Facebook pixel tracking:

Deactivate Facebook Pixel

This opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click the link above again.

11.2 Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a web advertising service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google AdSense uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Google AdSense also uses web beacons (small invisible graphics) to collect information that can be used to record, collect, and analyze simple actions such as visitor traffic on the website. The information generated by the cookie and/or web beacon (including your IP address) about your use of the website is typically transferred to a Google server and stored there. The information may also be transferred to Google LLC servers in the USA.

Google uses the information obtained in this way to evaluate your usage behavior with regard to the AdSense ads. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google AdSense will not be merged with other data held by Google. The information collected by Google may be transferred to third parties if this is required by law and/or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

The described processing of data is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR for the purpose of targeted advertising to the user by advertising third parties whose advertisements are displayed on this website based on the evaluated user behavior. This processing also serves our financial interest in exploiting the economic potential of our website by displaying personalized third-party advertising content for a fee.

In the event that personal data is transferred to Google LLC, based in the USA, Google LLC has certified itself for the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU. We use the Google Ads service to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites using advertising materials (so-called Google Adwords). We can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are in relation to the data from the advertising campaigns. Our aim is to show you advertising that is of interest to you, to make our website more interesting for you and to achieve a fair calculation of the advertising costs incurred.

The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an Ads ad placed by Google. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked across the websites of Google Ads customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can block this use by deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie in your Internet browser under the keyword "User Settings". You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. We use Google Ads due to our legitimate interest in targeted advertising in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. When using Google Ads, personal data may also be transferred to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

In the event that personal data is transferred to Google LLC, based in the USA, Google LLC has certified itself for the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU. 12) Web analytics services

Google Analytics

Google Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google (Universal) Analytics uses so-called "cookies", which are text files saved on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your shortened IP address) is usually transferred to a Google server and saved there; this may also involve transmission to Google LLC servers in the USA.
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics exclusively with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", which ensures that the IP address is anonymized by shortening it and excludes direct personal reference. This extension means that your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and shortened there. In these exceptional cases, this processing takes place in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google (Universal) Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
You can prevent cookies from being saved by setting your browser software accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link:

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
As an alternative to the browser plug-in or within browsers on mobile devices, please click on the following link to set an opt-out cookie that will prevent Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in the future (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click on this link again): Deactivate Google Analytics

13) Retargeting/ Remarketing/ Recommendation Advertising

Bing Ads (Microsoft Corporation)

This website uses the conversion tracking technology “Bing Ads” from Microsoft (Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA). Microsoft Bing Ads will place a cookie on your computer if you have accessed our website via a Microsoft Bing ad. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device. These cookies expire after 180 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Microsoft and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page (conversion page). If personal data is processed in the process, this is done in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR due to our legitimate interest in effective marketing.
The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics, i.e. to record how many users reach a conversion page after clicking on an ad. This tells us the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

Microsoft Corporation, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

Bing Ads (Microsoft Corporation) Universal Event Tracking

This website uses the Universal Event Tracking conversion tracking technology “Bing Ads” from Microsoft (Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA).
To use Universal Event Tracking, a tag is stored on every page of our website that interacts with the conversion cookie set by Microsoft Bing Ads. This interaction makes user behavior on our website traceable and sends the information collected to Microsoft Bing Ads. The purpose of this is that certain predefined goals such as purchases or leads can be statistically recorded and evaluated in order to make the orientation and content of our offers more tailored to your interests. The tags are never used to personally identify users.
If the transmission of information about user behavior to Microsoft Bing Ads includes personal user data, this is done in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical evaluation of the success of product advertisements in Microsoft Bing Ads and the purchasing behavior of users and thus serves to optimize our online offering.

Microsoft Corporation, based in the USA, is certified for the US-European data protection agreement “Privacy Shield”, which guarantees compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this by deactivating the Bing Ads conversion tracking cookie in your Internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. Alternatively, you can use the deactivation page for EU consumers http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/ to check whether Microsoft advertising cookies are set in your browser and deactivate them.

Any further data processing will only take place if you have given Google your consent to link your internet and app browsing history to your Google account and to use information from your Google account to personalize ads you view on the web. 15) Tools and Others

15.1 - Google Web Fonts

This website uses so-called web fonts provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google") for the uniform display of fonts. When you visit a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.

For this purpose, the browser you use must connect to Google's servers. This may also result in personal data being transmitted to Google LLC's servers in the USA. In this way, Google becomes aware that our website was accessed via your IP address. Google Web Fonts are used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offerings. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.

We work with Google as part of the “Google Customer Reviews” program. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).
