R7 Squat Rack | Freestanding

Description After moving, I was looking for an alternative to my power rack, which was taking up far too much space in the apartment. At first I was concerned about the thickness of the posts, as they are only 2mm thick (for comparison, my power rack was 3mm). But the stands still seem very robust and solid, especially due to the wider square tubes (7x7 vs. 5x5 for the old power rack). But not only the stands, but also the included J-hooks and safety arms are really solid. A kind of cross brace was also included, which you can use to connect the two stands to give them more stability. I don't actually use this, as the stands are stable enough without them and I can roll them to the side more quickly after training to make room. But I think it's great that they're included at all. This gives you the stability of a full-fledged power rack, but without taking up so much space. That was the main reason why I chose this product. I use it in the living room and when I'm not using it, I roll it into a corner and it hardly takes up any space. Complaint: The powder coating on the safety arms was already damaged when it arrived (see photo). That is of course a shame. At the moment I see it as a cosmetic defect, but whether it is more susceptible to rust at this point remains to be seen. In addition, one of the two J-hooks is significantly looser. The other is very tight and sits tightly on the tube, so that it doesn't move even when you hook the barbell in. The other, on the other hand, has no hold at all, sits rather loosely and wobbles back and forth at the slightest touch. Because of the hooking mechanism of the hooks, I don't think it will fall off, but it is annoying when it shifts to the side when you put the barbell down. Conclusion: Although the product has a few flaws, I can overlook them because the overall product is absolutely convincing. A solid, stable and space-saving alternative for home gym users who don't have room for a power rack or don't want to sacrifice that much space. And for the price, I think what you get is absolutely great. Suggestion for improvement: On the lower third of the posts, I think it would be better if the holes were closer together (Westside hole). The 2.5cm distance between the holes is particularly noticeable when doing bench presses.
