1. What is polyurethane (PU), and why is it used for dumbbells?

Polyurethane (PU) is an extremely durable plastic that makes dumbbells resistant to impact, scratches, and wear. Unlike rubber, PU is virtually odorless—ideal for indoor training. Easy to clean and hygienic, with a premium look, PU is also UV- and temperature-resistant, making it perfect for outdoors too.

2. What advantages do round dumbbells have over hex dumbbells?

At heavier weights, hex dumbbells become larger due to their shape, which can make them harder to handle. Heavy round dumbbells can be made smaller than rubber hex dumbbells, so they’re easier to handle. This is only usually a concern when handling dumbbells that are more than 45 kg.

3. What’s the handle like on these dumbbells?

They have a straight handle with medium knurling for a secure grip without gloves. Grip diameters vary by weight (28, 32, or 34 mm), while the 15 cm grip length stays the same, great for both small and large hands.
