The dumbbells are really great, studio quality. The only thing that bothers me a little is that the design has since changed, and this wasn't indicated on the product page. It wouldn't have stopped me from buying them, but it would at least have mentally prepared me for the change. I wanted to buy a uniform set that would last a lifetime and also look great, and now I have to live with the fact that the set isn't 100% uniform for the rest of my life. Probably no one here cares about my first-world problem anyway, but I wanted to vent my frustration about it. Other than that, it's not the dumbbells' fault; they're really great for the price, hence the 5 stars.

These dumbbells are great, but the shipping packaging leaves a lot to be desired. The dumbbells arrived as shown in the second picture. I hadn't opened the packaging yet; they arrived exactly as shown in the picture. It was the same with the 20-piece dumbbells, so this doesn't seem to be an isolated case. You can almost consider yourself lucky if the goods aren't damaged in shipping. In my opinion, Atletica urgently needs to improve this! They could, for example, take Ironmaster's packaging standards as a model; they're top-notch. But apart from that: I love these dumbbells and need more, but I'd like to avoid having to return them because of possible shipping damage.

Atletica dumbbells are generally great, but I had a small problem with one of the two 2.5-inch dumbbells, which I was able to fix myself. There was a noticeable rattling noise when moving, even though the description stated that the heads were permanently attached to the handle. At first, the noise worried me because I thought something might be loose inside the dumbbell, or that the dumbbell head might fall on my foot or somewhere else during an exercise. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that one of the two rings between the handle and the dumbbell head, which were probably there purely for aesthetic reasons, had some looseness and was moving and rotating. These rings can also be rotated on some of the other dumbbells, but not all of them, and none of the other dumbbells have any rattling noise. With a bit of glue, I've solved this problem for the time being; we'll see how long this workaround lasts. As I said, the Atletica dumbbells are basically great: a beautiful design, a pleasantly grippy knurling, and overall studio quality. I just have to deduct a star for this little rattling faux pas.

Great, studio-quality dumbbells. The knurling is slightly less pronounced than on my Ironmaster dumbbells, but that's fine and, as you know, a matter of taste anyway. I think the design with the white ring is very well done, with the most important information, the weight, displayed prominently and with high contrast in a pleasing font in the middle of the circle, while the less important information, namely the manufacturer, is displayed less prominently. It's usually the other way around with the competition, where the weight is often tiny and the manufacturer's logo is huge, which means the really important thing almost gets lost next to the large logo. I want to know at a glance which dumbbell has which weight and not have to constantly endure more or less subtle advertising for a specific manufacturer in my home gym, even though some people might find that cool. That, along with the slightly lower price compared to the competition (ATX, REP), was the deciding factor for me in the purchase. All in all, great equipment, both in terms of functionality and design.
